"The Bach, Stoke Today, my sister and I, along with our husbands, made a last-minute decision to go out for lunch. After a bit of back-and-forth, we finally settled on The Bach in Stoke—and we’re so glad we did! They offer a great value deal: 2 courses for $25 or 3 for $30. First impressions were fantastic. We were warmly welcomed by Kirsten, who provided super friendly and attentive service throughout our meal. Although there were a couple of menu items not available, it didn’t take away from the experience. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, roast, and a chocolate brownie for dessert. All the dishes were delicious. It’s not your high end restaurant but we don’t want that. We want somewhere to chat and sit outdoors The food was great, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. We sat outside. We’re already planning to come back with the whole family. Highly recommend! Please support them. Thanks Kirsten you’re a star, see you soon Lianne"

"We went there for a family dinner and enjoyed the meal. The menu is adequate and food quality was good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The dining area was alongside the gaming tables, so it was quite noisy. Service speed was adequate. Wheelchair access is not readily available."

"I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time now. Perfect timing! They just reopened today (Wednesday, June 15, 2022) after some renovation. They have got a new menu as well. I ordered some wedges with sour cream and sweet chili, their vegetarian dish of the day (gratin, broccoli, almonds and the salad on the side is good too!), and 1kg mussels with bread. The mussels were nice, big, and fresh, not overcooked. Everything was excellent! Good price, good quantity/serving size, great food!"

"So its Sunday afternoon. The sun is shining, the birds are singing......and my stomach is rumbling! Not feeling much like cooking after a busy day, we thought 'Out for dinner...but to where?' Well to The Bach of course. As Stoke locals, we had not been to this location for a long number of years, and it was time for a visit. The wife was in the market for something 'saucy' and I had a hankering for a burger. Checking the menu online suggested that here we could get both. In fact this is a first good sign, the website was very helpful and looked very professional. A great start in this modern age, and an indication that this establishment is run well. We arrived early, not long after 4pm, and the restaurant was empty. This was what we expected, and it was a nice thing. Roz ordered the Seafood Chowder and I the Kiwi Burger. The chowder was incredible - rich and full flavoured, with a beautiful colour, due to the addition of some curry, which gave the dish a lovely yellow tinge. While she suggested that a little more seafood (Scallops, Prawn etc) would have been nice, the flavour and texture of the dish was amongst the best she had eaten. My burger arrived also, and as it was a "Kiwi Burger" it contained some of the expected fillings - Pineapple, Beetroot, Caramelised Onions, Lettuce, Sauce, Cheese and last but by no means least - a juicy, thick beef patty. Sandwiched between 2 fresh halves of the same home baked bun, I was a happy chappy. The burger was HUGE - and while this could be an issue considering the size of my bite, I analyzed the situation and then 'dug in' Starting with it in my hands I managed to take a good number of bites, sampling all of the ingredients together and in their individual parts. When I could get all contents in a single bite, I was impressed by the flavour profile. The sweetness off set by the beef and cheese. I managed to consume half of the burger in this traditional fashion, but then resorted to knife and fork. Another win for me was the fries, they were some of the best I have had in some time. Fresh, crisp and nicely flavoured with salt and paprika. We will definitely be back, as there is a decent sized menu to sample., and I am sure that the rest of the food holds the same level of quality. To top it off, the staff were lovely, and the venue certainly gave off 'Bach' vibes, with some cool kiwiana scattered around the walls, and a number of board games, reminiscent of summer nights with a hot chocolate after a hard days fishing! Pop on in to the Bach, I might see you there!"

"Went to the Bach for dinner tonight, would highly recommend you go for a meal. The food was fantastic, starter of chesy garlic flat bread plenty for 3, buffalo wings were juicy. I had the beef burger, homemade pattie was large and filled the whole burger, the fillings were very tasty. Other dinners had ribs, tender and melt in the mouth, the pizza was big enough to take half home. Chips on the plate were non greasy and crisp. Meals were big couldn't finish all the chips on my plate or wedges on the other diners plate. Staff were lovely and friendly. Bill was less than we have paid at other places."
